God’s Truth for the New Year

As we enter the New Year, here is some truth from God’s Word:

“… those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31.

In the original Hebrew, the word “hope” here combines notions of patient and expectant looking, tarrying, and waiting upon… and perhaps most interestingly, the idea of binding together.

May the New Year bind you so tightly to your Lord and Savior that all you do reflects His will and honors Him. May you soar in 2018 for His glory!
