Prof. William Wagner on Steve Gruber Show Tuesday @ 7:33 a.m.

Hon. William Wagner (Ret)

Founding President, Salt & Light Global | WFFC Distinguished Chair, SAU

Professor William Wagner will be on the Steve Gruber Show tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7:33 a.m. He will discuss the Supreme Court’s decision to review the President’s Executive Order banning travel from countries posing a national security risk to the United States.  The case is especially important to Christian people because the lower courts struck down the President’s action on grounds it violated a judge-made doctrine that requires all government actions to have a secular purpose. Under this judicially-active interpretation of the Establishment Clause, public policy informed by sacred ideas are considered unconstitutional.  If this doctrine existed during the Lincoln Administration, the Emancipation Proclamation would be unconstitutional because Lincoln expressly invoked “the gracious favor of Almighty God.”

Professor Wagner will also discuss the Choose Life license plate bill passed by the Michigan House and Senate, and now awaiting signature by the Governor.  If the Governor signs the law, Michigan joins 31 other States that provide this unifying positive message as a license plate option.  Some of the proceeds from the sale of these license plates provide support for suicide prevention and crisis pregnancies.  For those opposing this law our question is what part of the message do you oppose? The part that says, “Choose” or the part that says “Life”….
